How did our Arabic ads localization help Google appeal to Gen Z in Saudi Arabia?

Localized for the Kingdom’s Next Generation

Google's Dubai office came to us the way we like: through word of mouth. The brief was precise in the best way: Saudi-localized Arabic campaign content built for Gen Z. A copy that sounds like it was written by someone who actually grew up inside the culture, and we delivered.

The Challenge at Hand

Google Shopping reaches millions of users across the Kingdom, but reaching them and resonating with them are two different problems entirely. The campaign needed Arabic ads localization in Saudi Arabia that could hold up against the way a Gen Z consumer in Riyadh or Jeddah actually thinks, scrolls, and decides.

The challenge was specific: standard Arabic phrasing, however clean, carries a formal distance that younger Saudi audiences immediately register and discount. Every script, every social post, every Google Shopping ad had to feel culturally native. Not adapted, not approximated. The team needed Google Ads localization that could move fluidly across YouTube pre-rolls, Meta feeds, and search placements without losing that same authentic voice in translation between formats.

The brief also demanded coherence at scale. Over thirty individual deliverables across three platforms meant the work had to carry a consistent cultural pulse without becoming repetitive; a challenge that goes well beyond vocabulary and into instinct.

How We Made It Happen?

We approached this as a localization problem with a cultural solution. Rather than taking Standard Arabic copy and softening it into dialect, our Arabic ads localization experts in Saudi Arabia built from the inside out. We started with how Gen Z in Saudi Arabia speaks about shopping, discovery, and value, then shaped campaign language around that reality. This is what separates genuine Arabic marketing localization from surface-level adaptation.

Our team produced over 30 deliverables spanning video scripts for YouTube, campaign ads for Google Shopping, and social posts for Meta. Each format demanded its own style: a YouTube pre-roll has seconds to earn attention, a Shopping ad lives and dies on a single line, and a Meta post has to stop a thumb mid-scroll. We tuned the writing to each platform while keeping the cultural register consistent across all of them.

We also paid close attention to the generational dimension of the brief. Gen Z Saudi audiences are fast readers and skeptical ones. They respond to language that earns their attention rather than performs at it. Every script and post was reviewed for cultural accuracy, tonal fit, and platform effectiveness before delivery, ensuring the campaign launched with nothing generic in it.

The response followed. Strong engagement across platforms confirmed what the brief already understood: when the language is right, the audience notices.
